It's your event, so it's up to you to decide who will be working with you.
In-house AV & ST contracts kill competition; the result is poorer services.
You may save up to 50% when you bring in your chosen AV & ST provider.
Since you've rented it, the meeting space is yours to do with it as you please.
A meeting facility has no right to prohibit you from using your rented equipment.
You can remove from contracts clauses limiting your right to choose.
Some venues make a commission when you hire their "preferred" AV & ST provider.
